Less Traveled Waters.

It is interesting, for the first time I'm trying to train for a swim that has had few attempt and even fewer finish.  To talk with the few that have finished they either say you won't make it or can't really give any guidance to training.

It is as if doing the swim you are 'lucky or not.'  Now all long swims have a element of luck but I've never found this phenomena.  So i guess I train for the 'ugly' and hope for good luck even more than good weather.  And of course my stubbornness regarding the words 'you can't' make up the rest of the equation.
